Justin and Logan started hanging out through Kicking Bear back in 2019. Over the past three plus years the two have been intentional about spending time together and staying connected. While most of their adventures are of the outdoors variety, they will also occasionally just grab a burger and talk about life. As their relationship has grown Logan will even call Justin to just help him through tough times or to celebrate the good stuff too. Justin says he always tries to answer back right away, to let Logan know he is there for him. Justin also shared that he learns a lot about himself and his own life through his time with Logan. So, when Logan called him up and said that he wanted to take Justin out duck hunting, Justin was thrilled to go!
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. –Hebrew 10:24-25
“Ultimately what was so cool from this weekend was seeing him put together all the stuff I’ve taught him over the years, plus stuff he’s learned and bring it full circle to take me out hunting. It’s been so enjoyable seeing Logan become a man and seeing the trajectory of his life change because God brought us together. We both know we are not perfect, but I’ve seen him seek not only insight from me as his mentor, but seeking the Lord more too.”–Justin Wise
