A September Full of Smiles
By Kevin Bonnar
Kicking Bear started off the month of September serving with our friends David and Valeria Gal at the Youth Wings and Wheels event at the Cambridge Ohio Airport. This was the first event of this kind at the airport and it was a huge success! There were all kinds of classic cars, airplanes and even helicopter rides. Pastor Kevin set up the Kicking Bear archery/tomahawk stations and also had a tough course for kiddos. The highlight of the whole event was a Gladiator Games between the local Sheriff Department and the State Troopers!!! These same officers then helped guide kiddos at the KB activities, talk about bringing the community together!! This was a really cool event and we were so humbled to be serving alongside our everyday heroes in the community that do so much to protect and serve. Thankful.
We were so blessed to get four of our Kicking Bear kiddos out bear hunting last month up here in Wisconsin. This is always such an exciting opportunity for these young hunters and also the guides! We have so many people to thank for these opportunities. Justin Briski who heads up getting tags, the folks who donate tags, the guides for stepping up to go on these hunts and so, so many amazing landowners and hunting outfitters who really go the extra mile to get boots on the ground! Many of these folks open up their land, businesses and calendars with huge hearts towards helping the next generation of bear hunters chase their dreams! We were blessed with 3 kiddos harvesting a bear this year!
