What is truly amazing throughout all the 25 years of Kicking Bear camps is when we get to see the ministry come full circle. Cambridge Ohio Camp has been running strong for 19 years now and many kids that were once little firecrackers, having fun and learning about Jesus, are now all grown-up and coming back to help other kids have the same experience they did. It is very humbling thinking about all the stories of salvations and baptisms over the last two decades. The follow up behind these camps with all the deer and turkey hunting and fishing has been truly amazing as well. This year after two days of fun including games, archery, fishing, kayaking, camping and much more I was totally beat up because of turning into a little kid myself and having so much fun! This camp has had some really great turn out over the years. We believe to still hold a spot in the Guinness Book of Records for the largest marshmallow fight in the world, with a Cambridge camp one time having over 1500 people slinging marshmallows at each other all in the spirit of fun! In the past this camp has had an incredible amount of decisions for Christ and the same thing happened again this year. To celebrate decisions for Jesus we had lots of baptisms the following day!! I am looking forward to what God has planned in this community for the years to come and can’t wait to see the third and fourth generations of kiddos impacted by the Gospel message as things keep coming full circle. God is amazing!
