The official Kicking Bear camp "season" came to an end this past weekend with an event in New Lisbon, Wisconsin. It was held in conjunction with the Wisconsin Bowhunter's Association annual broadhead shoot held at Kennedy Park. This has been an awesome year with literally thousands of youth (and adults) in attendance and hundreds who came to know Christ as their Lord and Savior! Well the Michigan Kicking Bear event went very well. The kids all had a blast. The looks on their faces when they hit the target when they were shooting the bows was awsome and you could tell that they really enjoyed themselves. Some of these kids didnt even know what a bow was till they saw one for the first time and was actually able to shot one.One boy named Tayshawn was so excited about the next day to be able to shoot that he could hardly sleep. God blessed us with perfect weather for the Michigan Kicking Bear event.  The kids had a blast.  I know my son particularly liked the water slide this year.  Again, I met many great men and women I wouldn't have a chance to meet if I didn't volunteer to help at this event.  Thanks goes to Craig Mortz and Livingston County Conservation for putting on an excellent event.  Also, it was a pleasure to meet Tristen (sp?) who was really the event coordinator for kids the all weekend.  What a great job…See More
